This Privacy Policy explains how CloudFinOpsKit ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you visit our website or purchase a digital Product. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the site and fulfil your order.

1. Who we are

CloudFinOpsKit provides downloadable Azure FinOps toolkits and tools to customers worldwide. We run as a self-service store: product questions are answered instantly by Ask Jeff, our on-site AI assistant, and all payment and billing data is handled by our payment provider, Paddle, acting as Merchant of Record. 2. Data we collect

Purchase data. When you buy a Product, our payment provider Paddle collects your name, email address, billing details, and payment information to process the transaction. We receive a record of your order and your email address to deliver the Product and provide support.
Email signup data. If you join our mailing list, we collect the email address you provide.
Support data. If you contact us, we keep your message and email address so we can respond.
Technical data. Like most websites, basic technical information (such as browser type and general usage) may be processed by our hosting provider to keep the site secure and running.
Analytics and ad-measurement data (only if you accept cookies). Pages viewed, the ad or link that brought you here, and whether you signed up or bought, collected through Google Analytics, Microsoft Advertising and the Meta Pixel. If you accept and then sign up or buy, we also send Meta a hashed (irreversibly scrambled) copy of your email address or an order reference so it can tell whether an ad led to that action. If you decline, none of this is collected.

We do not store your full card or payment details — those are handled entirely by Paddle and are never accessible to us.

3. How we use your data

To process your purchase and deliver your Product, including one email with your download (and, for subscriptions, members) link. This is a service email about your order, not marketing.
To provide customer support and handle refund requests.
To send you the emails you have signed up for (you can unsubscribe at any time).
To keep the site secure, reliable, and functioning correctly.
If you accept cookies: to understand which pages are useful and to measure whether our ads work, so we spend less on the ones that don't.
To comply with our legal and tax obligations.

We do not sell your personal data. We use it for advertising only as described above, only with your consent, and you can withdraw that consent at any time (see Cookies).

4. Third-party processors

We share data only with the service providers needed to operate the site and fulfil orders:

Paddle — our Merchant of Record and payment processor. See Paddle's Privacy Policy.
Microsoft Azure — hosting for this website (Azure Static Web Apps).
Our email provider (Brevo) — to send the download email for your order, and, if you subscribe, to manage and send newsletters.
Google (Analytics), Microsoft (Advertising) and Meta Platforms (Facebook/Instagram advertising) — only if you accept cookies, for analytics and ad measurement. See Google's, Microsoft's and Meta's privacy policies. These providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States.

5. Cookies

Without your consent, the CloudFinOpsKit site uses only the cookies and local storage strictly necessary for the site and the checkout to function. Our payment provider may set cookies required to process your purchase securely.

When you first visit, a banner asks whether you accept analytics and ad-measurement cookies (Google Analytics, Microsoft Advertising, Meta Pixel). They are only set if you click Accept. If you decline, they are never set and nothing is sent to those providers. To change your mind later, clear this site's cookies and storage in your browser and the banner will ask again.

6. Data retention

We keep order records for as long as required to provide support, process refunds, and meet legal and tax obligations. Mailing-list data is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Support correspondence is kept only as long as needed to resolve your query.

7. Your rights

Wherever you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Because Paddle holds your billing and payment data as Merchant of Record, requests about that data are handled directly by Paddle — use the support links in your order-confirmation email or see Paddle's Privacy Policy. You also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority. We will support any such request to the extent the data is held by us.

8. Data security

We use reputable providers (Paddle, Microsoft Azure) and reasonable technical measures to protect your data. The site is served over HTTPS. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children

Our site and Products are intended for business users and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version is always available on this page, with the "last updated" date shown above.

For anything involving your payment, billing, or personal data held for your order, use the support and privacy links in your Paddle order-confirmation email — Paddle, as Merchant of Record, manages this data and responds to data-rights requests on our behalf.
